GET INVOLVED!

VOLUNTEERING
Our program is made possible through the assistance and dedication of our volunteers.
By volunteering you can learn about disabilities and horses while making new friends. You'll gain tremendous satisfaction from watching your riders improve physically, mentally, and emotionally. Most of all you will be making life brighter for individuals with disabilities.
There are many opportunities to be part of this program including:
Side Walker:
Side walkers walk alongside the horse and provide support to the rider, ensuring they don't fall off and helping them keep their balance. Side walkers might also help prepare a horse for a session by brushing a horse, putting saddle on, or supervising a rider during the preparation process. Side walkers are asked to be there for the length of a session, which usually lasts a half hour.
Horse Leader:
Horse leaders are the ones walking next to the head of the horse, leading it around the arena and keeping a proper pace for the lesson. Horse Leaders might also help prepare a horse for a session by brushing a horse, putting saddle on, or supervising a rider during the preparation process. Horse Leaders are asked to be there for the length of a session, which usually lasts a half hour.
All volunteers will be given proper instruction and teaching on how to work with horses.
No previous experience is needed!
Fundraisers and Miscellaneous Administrative Needs:
Throughout the year we have different fundraising events and are always looking for individuals to help organize, promote and work these fundraisers. We also are in need of individuals to help with marketing, mailings, and other administrative tasks.
If interested please call and complete volunteer form.
